To All My "Well-Wishers"...

Hello again, my Fiendish Friends!

I'm truly sorry I was unable to attend "HOLLA-WEEKEND" in Chicago on Nov. 1st. My girl Shaniqua covered for me and told me it was a scream (specially the Costume Contest)! Thanks sweetie for covering for me.

I wanted to send a special thanks to all of you who sent "get well" wishes to me over the past few weeks (you have no idea how difficult it's been to get a doctor to make house calls at night!). I am slowly but surely getting better and hope to be back on set very soon. We're still preparing to be on air in Chicago soon so keep checking back for more details and updates!

Biting the Bullet!

Hello Fans and Fiends!

Yes, it's been a little while since my last entry but I rose up just after sunset and realized I needed to leave a little message for those who check-in from time to time about the status of our show, "MIDNITE SCREAMS".

Well, like everythng in life, when you think everything's in place SOMETHING has to go wrong. In our case, sponsorship. As some of you know, it was our intention to be on-the-air by this fall (Sept. 6th to be exact). We receivved great responses from the network after they reviewed our pilot. Unfortunately, our funding fell through. Not only that, it fell through within one month of our broadcast date. So, everything has been placed on hold until we can gain new sponsors.

Now, this doesn't mean where's sitting around like "zombies"! We've continued recording new episodes and hope to launch 3-4 of them on a local Chicago public access network just to keep some momentum going until the next season. We hope, by then, we will have worked something out.

In the meantime, thanks to those who've sent e-mails and left messages for me on MySpace. I truly appreciate your support and even your curiousity. Keep checking back for more updates and of course, I'll try and have something special on the site for "HALLOWEEN".

Until then...

Getting Ready for TV

Dear Darlings,

This has been one busy summer! I've been spending my nights reviewing many of the films submitted by independent horror and suspense film directors and I can tell you we're going to have quite a "variety" for the show, to say the least.

I can tell you some of the films we have in our line-up. Some are film festival award winners, others are commercially distributed and others are independently sold (via car trunk). In any case here are just a few to get your blood going...

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
Yes, George Romero's classic celebrates it's 40th Anniversary and will be our premiere movie! We'll be rooting for Ben (Duane Jones) to stand up to "the man" and live until the end... or does he?

THE CHAUFFEUR
Talk about a one-way ride! Don't let this soft-spoken valet fool ya! His ride's got some mileage on it but at least he "takes you out" in style!

WHAT'S REAL?
I kept asking myself this question while I was watching it! Ever have one of those days where you can't tell your dreams from the real thing? Neither have I!

THE EMBALMER
Now this is one brother who's got a bad attitude. The movie opens with him slicing up his wife because dinner's not ready when he comes home from work. Blood flies everywhere in his film.. Mmmmm.. good!

DEATHLY REALITIES
I'll personally nibble on the neck of the person who can tell me who the heck is Herman!!!

COMATOSE
A group of party-loving young folks make some bad decisions and unleash a psychopathic killer who evidently doesn't know they ARE a psychopathic killer, even though their running around murdering like a psychopathic killer!

THE BASEMENT
A kid is left home alone and has to retrieve his pajamas from his wood-grain paneled basement. The kid survives a power outage, I survive wathcing this movie!

IT'S MY PARTY AND I'LL DIE IF I WANT TO
The title says it all.

I'll write more about our upcoming show at another time. Until then...

How I Survived Zombie March Chicago

Oh my Gawd!!!

Let me tell you! My girl Midnite asked me if I would stop by this parade in downtown Chicago. She said there would be a few good looking"stiffs" in the crowd, so you know me, if there's a good man to be found,I'm there!

Honey! When I got to Millennium Park I found myself surrounded by hundreds (I'm not exaggerating), hundreds of ZOMBIES!!! Tall zombies, small zombies, skinny zombies, fat zombies! I saw a platoon of zombies from the army, a pirate zombie, a teenage zombie, I even saw a zombie in a kilt! Now, you know your girl was trying to be cool. So I tried holding a conversation with a few of them. Most only grunted (like I do when my shoes are too tight) and when they did talk all they could say was "BRAINS!!!" Well, it didn't take too much "brains" for me to know it was time to put some distance between me and those carnivorous corpses!

The last I saw of them, they were headed toward the Field Museum. Don't ask me what they were going to do when they got there. I know one thing. I bet they scared the crap out of every tourist walking through Grant Park that afternoon. Whatever these "zombies" were trying to do it looks like it was a success.

Midnite says she's going to send me to see more things around town. Kinda like a "roving reporter" so keep you're eyes out (just a figure of speech) for me. You never know where I may turn up!

What’s up with Midnite?

Hello Friends and Fiends!

So much has been happening in the crypt as we prepare to launch our series "Midnite Screams" here in Chicago. For the past several weeks we've been screening films submitted by filmmakers from all over the country (even South America) and I tell you it's no easy task. Can you believe someone actually submitted a film where the vampire dies??!!! (I'll be returning that film to it's producer personally).

Over the next few weeks we'll be attending events in the Chicago area and as we confirm our attendance we'll post them here and on our official MySpace web site www.myspace.com/midnitescreams so check in from time to time to see where we are.

In the meantime, keep checking the crypt... You never know what (or who) you might find waiting there!
